Another painting that was started long ago and was shelved. It was based on a trip out to see Simi Daba's sculpture garden next to the Joshua Tree Dry lake on a rainy day. Briana hadn't come prepared for the cold and we found an old jacket at our homestead cabin that belonged to my sister Kathy when she was a kid that she wore in this crazy mint green totally at odds with the desert colors. I had totally forgotten it. My interest was rekindled--had a great time finally completing it.
