11x14 Gouache--this is looking out from the inside of the Wall/Siders homestead cabin in North Joshua Tree--so many great memories of time spent here and where my connection with the desert began. Completed 4-2026
11x14 Gouache on paper--from one of those days when there's both dark heavy clouds and sunshine at the same time. This is near the top of Onaga in Section 6 Joshua Tree Conservation Area looking towards the National Park.
This 11x14 Gouache is a view from the trail climbing from Onaga and at the high point of the JT Conservation Area looking out towards the JT Dry Lake and beyond that the Marine Base.
11x14 Gouache on paper from a hike in the Joshua Tree Conservation Area. Caught this getting near to sunset.

24x36 oil on canvas
Another painting that was started long ago and was shelved. It was based on a trip out to see Simi Daba's sculpture garden next to the Joshua Tree Dry lake on a rainy day. Briana hadn't come prepared for the cold and we found an old jacket at our homestead cabin that belonged to my sister Kathy when she was a kid that she wore in this crazy mint green totally at odds with the desert colors. I had totally forgotten it. My interest was rekindled--had a great time finally completing it.
Small gouche completed in December 2025 made as a memorial/gift to Ashleigh's beloved Atticus
I'd been looking for the right element/character to finish this painting for a long time (over 20 years). It appeared when I was returning from a bike ride--a massive flock of Turkey Vultures over my house in Joshua Tree.I've seen them here before but got interested in learning more about them--quite interesting. The piece has a lot of connections with the environment: earth, water, sky, balance, and my early Neo Expressionist pursuit. It's 40x60 on canvas and was made with both oil and acrylic
11x14 Gouache of Ashleigh flying her kite--from the same day seen in my earlier painting of me flying a kite at the cabin. Sold at the Highway 62 Art Tours Collective Show
